As seen in The Dining Room: The design of these dinner knives was inspired by a shepherd's tool first manufactured in the French village of Laguiole in the 19th century and has now become the standard of fine cutlery. Each knife is crafted in the Village of Laguiole and features a hand-forged stainless steel blade, a high quality acrylic or stainless steel handle, and the signature of the knife maker on the hilt along with a Napoleonic bee. The special restaurant serration on our Laguiole Knives means that they do not need to be sharpened.
